Assessment #4
Today I didn't get to help out as much, but I still was showing the homeless that I care. A man with a shiny bald head, named Scott, was looking for a Spanish Bible. When a girl named Rachel, who was 17 and dressed warmly, finally found a Spanish Bible. When Scout saw it, he yelled, "Huevos!!!!!!!" Maria started laughing histarically. She whispered in my ear, "That means eggs." I started laughing with her, and soon everyone was staring at us like we were a bunch of lunatics. We just kept laughing, and moved on. I, however will never forget the day when Scott yelled eggs in the middle of a public parking lot.
Assessment #3

I was slowly, but surely, putting away my clothes. They were staring at me, waiting for something, something that they needed. That day, I was in charge of the ladies section toiletries. They were asking over and over again for a pair of socks. I was wondering why they needed socks so bad, then I realized that socks wear out so quickly, and it was the middle of winter. Since homeless people don't have cars, they must walk a lot more. I felt terrible for one homeless lady who was seven months pregnant, and I gave her an extra pair of socks. She thanked me many times before going back into her room. I realized, that day, that people need help, and I need to help them.
