There were once two best friends named Jackie and Jill who never wanted to grow up. By the time the two friends were 16 Jackie wanted to remain childlike and Jill decided to change her mind and grow up. Jill didn’t know how to tell the other friend, so she just avoided her instead. The two ended up being enemies all through the rest of high school. Jill became extremely popular, and Jackie wasn’t. Jill had a faithful boyfriend, and Jackie didn’t. However when the two grew older, they both ended up successful. Jill became the head of Northwest Airlines, and Jackie became the new CEO of Toys R’ Us. At one point, these two enemies ran into each other again. Jill was holding a copy of Shakesphere’s Romeo and Juliet. Jackie was holding a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. When they finally talked, Jill realized that Jackie had changed. She was no longer whining every five seconds. She didn’t have a Barbie in her hand. She was Jackie, a good Jackie. When Jill asked Jackie what changed her mind about growing up, Jackie just said, “I never did, this book taught me that I can still be a kid, yet be mature in everyday actions.”
